Applications for September 2026 will open Monday 6 July.
Each year the college distributes government money provided to assist students who may be experiencing financial hardship. Support is allocated on the basis of household income and can be used by students for their transport costs. If a student’s application is accepted, the college will provide all subject related items for them.

Free College Meal Guidance
If your application for Free College Meals is successful (as part of your Bursary application), you will be notified via your college email with full details on how to claim your entitlement.
Students who are approved for Free College Meals will be provided with both a breakfast and lunch option each day during term time. These can be claimed daily in line with college arrangements.
Please note that, in line with updated Government policy, Free College Meals must be reapplied for each academic year. Approval in one year does not automatically carry forward to the next, so you will need to submit a new application annually through the Bursary Fund.

Travel to College
If you will be travelling to college via public transport, please ensure you complete your own research to find information about what travel passes are available. We have collated a list of potential passes in the Travel Guidance document to further support you with the application process, but please be aware this list is not exhaustive.
