We were delighted to hear about the latest achievement of former King Edward’s VI College student Lauren Rowles, who studied A Levels at the College between 2014 and 2016, including A Level Law.

Since leaving College, Lauren has established herself as one of the most successful Paralympic rowers of all time. A two-time World Champion and three-time European Champion in Paralympic rowing, she has also been recognised nationally with both an MBE and OBE for her outstanding contribution to the sport.

In August, Lauren was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Birmingham City University, recognising her remarkable sporting achievements and inspirational impact. During the ceremony, Sian Davies was pleased to meet up with Lauren and congratulate her on this prestigious honour.

Lauren’s success is a wonderful example of where determination, resilience and ambition can lead, and we are proud to celebrate the achievements of one of our former students.

Congratulations, Lauren, on this well-deserved recognition.
